1 Service Description

LumenChat is a random-chat mobile application that lets users connect with other users anonymously. The Service includes:

• Random matching with other users who have Discoverable mode enabled.
• Private one-to-one messaging with text, images, and audio messages (voice notes).
• Optional user profiles (display name, age, gender, profile pictures).
• Search filters (such as age and gender).
• Tools to block and report other users.

2 Eligibility

To use LumenChat you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
• Not have been previously banned or removed from the Service.
• Not be barred from using this type of service under applicable law.

If we have reasonable grounds to suspect that a user is under 18, we will suspend the account immediately and may permanently delete it.

3 Account & Authentication

You may use LumenChat in two ways:

• Anonymous account: Sign in with no email and no personal identifier. Your account lives only on your current device unless you later link a Google account.
• Google sign-in: Optional. Linking a Google account lets you keep your chats and profile when you change devices. We never use your Google data for any purpose other than authentication and cross-device sync.

By creating or using an account, you agree that:

• You are responsible for keeping the device that has access to your account secure.
• Information you place in your profile must be truthful and not impersonate another person.
• You will not create multiple accounts to evade bans, abuse other users, or spam the platform.
• You will not transfer, sell, or rent your account.

4 Free Service

LumenChat is currently offered free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future. If we do, those features will be governed by additional terms presented to you at the time of purchase, and using the free portion of the Service will continue to be free.

5 User Conduct

When using LumenChat, you agree NOT to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or bully other users.
• Send unsolicited sexually explicit content, including images, voice notes, or text.
• Share, request, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Doing so will result in an immediate permanent ban and a report to the relevant authorities.
• Share content that is illegal, violent, hateful, discriminatory, or that incites self-harm.
• Impersonate another person, brand, or entity.
• Solicit personal, financial, or sensitive information from other users (including phone numbers, addresses, or payment details) for fraudulent purposes.
• Engage in scams, romance fraud, phishing, or attempts to extract money from other users.
• Use the Service for advertising, recruitment, or other commercial activity without our written permission.
• Try to access accounts, data, or systems that don't belong to you, or attempt to bypass moderation, bans, or rate limits.
• Use bots, scripts, scrapers, automated tools, or modified versions of the App.
• Interfere with the Service's normal operation, including denial-of-service attempts.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

6 Profile Pictures & Automated NSFW Filter

Every profile picture you upload is automatically scanned by an NSFW (Not Safe For Work) detection model. Profile pictures that contain any of the following will be rejected:

• Nudity, partial nudity, or sexually suggestive content.
• Sexual acts or pornographic material.
• Graphic violence or gore.
• Other content that violates Google Play store policies.

Repeated attempts to upload prohibited profile content may result in suspension or permanent ban of the account. Profile pictures must be of you or be a generic avatar — they may not impersonate other people, public figures, or use copyrighted material you don't have rights to.

Important: The automated NSFW filter applies only to profile pictures. Content shared inside private conversations (text, images, voice notes) is not automatically scanned, because chats are private. You remain fully responsible for any content you send in chats — see Section 7 below.

7 Your Content & Privacy of Conversations

You retain ownership of the content you create on LumenChat (messages, images, voice notes). By sending content through the App, you grant Aura Devs a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, display, and store that content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you and the people you chat with.

Access to a private conversation only happens in two cases:

• Reports: When you (or another user) file a report involving a specific conversation, our moderation team is granted access to that conversation in order to investigate. By filing a report you authorize this access.
• Legal obligations: When we are required to comply with a binding legal request under applicable law.

You are solely responsible for the content you send. You must have the right to share what you send, and you must not send anything illegal or that violates these Terms.

8 Block & Report

LumenChat gives you tools to protect yourself:

• Block: Stops future interactions with a specific user. They will no longer be able to message or be matched with you.
• Report: Notifies our moderation team about behavior that violates these Terms. Reports include the reported conversation so we can review what happened.

Filing false, malicious, or repeated bad-faith reports is itself a violation of these Terms and may lead to action against your own account.

9 Moderation, Suspensions & Bans

If our moderation team determines that an account has violated these Terms, we may take any of the following actions, depending on severity:

• Issue a warning.
• Remove specific content.
• Temporarily suspend the account.
• Permanently ban the account from LumenChat. A permanent ban means the user is no longer allowed to use the Service, on any device or under any new account.

Severe violations (CSAM, threats of violence, repeated harassment, fraud, etc.) will result in an immediate permanent ban, with no prior warning.

9.1 Appeals

If you believe a ban or suspension was issued in error, you may appeal by emailing soporte@lumenchat.app. To help us review your case, include:

• The email or user ID associated with the banned account.
• The reason you believe the action was a mistake.
• Any context you think is relevant.

We aim to respond to appeals within a reasonable time. Each appeal is reviewed individually, and our decision on the appeal is final. Bans related to CSAM, threats of violence, or fraud are not subject to appeal.

9.2 Ban evasion

Creating a new account to circumvent a ban is itself a violation of these Terms and will result in the new account being banned as well.

10 Privacy

We care deeply about your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains in detail what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. By using LumenChat you agree to the practices described there.

11 Intellectual Property

LumenChat, its logo, brand, design, source code, and all materials provided by Aura Devs are owned by Aura Devs and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.

The license we grant you is limited: a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms.

12 Service Availability

We do our best to keep LumenChat available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, hardware failures, network issues, or events beyond our reasonable control. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice, although we will try to notify you in advance of major changes.

13 Disclaimer of Warranties

LumenChat is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.

We do not control and cannot guarantee the behavior of other users. People you meet through LumenChat are not vetted, verified, or background-checked. Use common sense, never share sensitive personal information, and be cautious before meeting anyone in person.

14 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aura Devs and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) LumenChat, including:

• Content shared by other users.
• Conduct of other users on or off the platform.
• Service interruptions, errors, or data loss.
• Unauthorized access to your account caused by your failure to keep your device secure.
• Decisions you make based on information obtained through the Service.

To the extent any liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD $50.

15 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aura Devs, its founders, contractors, and partners from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

16 Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes we will notify you through the App or by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of LumenChat after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

17 Termination

You may stop using LumenChat at any time and delete your account from Profile > Settings > Delete account, or by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the safety of other users or the integrity of the platform. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

18 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service will be submitted to the competent courts of Guatemala City, Guatemala, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

19 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
